Ceramco Inc, custom ceramics and ceramic fasteners manufacturer

Ceramic Components for Industry

Ceramco is a privately owned corporation that has been manufacturing custom ceramic components for industry since its inception by Anders F. Henriksen in 1982.  We have two different Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) processes at our one location in Center Conway, New Hampshire.  Low Pressure Injection Molding (LPIM) is used for prototyping and low to medium volume production runs, while High Pressure Injection Molding (HPIM) is primarily used for high order volumes.  Either process can produce complex geometries with ease, including internal and external threads, which are desirable features for many technical ceramics or advanced ceramics to have.  We have a variety of different ceramic materials to offer our customers where aluminum oxide ceramic (alumina) is the most common ceramic material we use.

For LPIM we use aluminum tooling which we make in-house, both minimizing cost and customer order lead time.  LPIM tooling is less expensive by orders of magnitude in comparison to HPIM tools, which are typically made of expensive carbide steel.  However, large order volumes can very easily amortize the added expense of using HPIM tooling, and because HPIM is a semi-automated process the per piece prices are typically lower.  All CIM parts are fired in high temperature furnaces to their final density and net shape consistently, and our fully equipped grind shop enables us to meet the demand of tighter tolerances on critical part features.

Sustainability is important for our customers and for us while we strive to stay competitive in the marketplace as a U.S. manufacturer.  CIM is a very efficient manufacturing process because there is minimal raw material waste, since feedstock can be re-claimed instead of thrown in to a landfill, and the near-net shaping ability means that minimal material and energy is used to make a final product.  Our LPIM ceramic manufacturing operation resides in a modern 10,350 square foot facility and our HPIM unit is located in an adjacent 3,500 square foot building.  Our commitment to quality at all phases of the ceramic manufacturing and shipping process is second to none.

We make technical ceramics for many different markets, such as:

  • Instrumentation
  • Homeland Security
  • Gas and Oil Exploration
  • Aerospace
  • Electronics
  • Alternative Energy/Power Generation
  • Heat Treat
  • Laser
  • Research and Development

Satisfied customers who have relied on our ceramic components include:

Agilent Technologies (formerly Hewlett Packard), GE, Boeing, TA Instruments, Honeywell Electronics, Rosemount, John Zink (formerly Coen), Thermo-Jarrel Ash, Thermal Dynamics, Perkin-Elmer, Philips, Unison, BF Goodrich, Physical Electronics, and many more.
