Frequently Asked Questions about Ceramic Fasteners

Are the ceramic fasteners listed on your website immediately available?
Yes, typical order quantities of ceramic nuts, ceramic bolts or ceramic washers are in stock and ready for shipment on the same day if ordered before 12:00pm EST.  Partial shipments may be available.  Out of stock items take 7 to 10 business days for shipment and delivery times may be longer for special orders.

Can I have a sample ceramic fastener to see if it will work for my application?
No, it is against Ceramco's policy to provide free samples, sorry.  The minimum order quantity is $100 for a single order.  Our distributors may be able to provide smaller order quantities for you.

What factors affect the lead time involved with my order?
After your order has been received and all the details have been confirmed, we process your order as soon as we can.  Manufacturing lead time for out of stock items will depend on the quantity ordered, the type of material, and whether it is a new or custom head configuration.     

What shipping methods do you offer? Is rush delivery available?
We ship via U.S. Mail, UPS, and FedEx Priority. Other carriers may be available upon special request. All faster delivery services offered by our shipping providers are available. Orders are sent UPS Ground by default. We DO NOT ship FedEx Ground.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we do accept Visa and Mastercard for credit card purchases.  We do not accept American Express or Discover card.

What are the physical, electrical, or mechanical properties of your ceramic fasteners? 
Please consult the material properties chart for select data on our fasteners.  The alumina fasteners are made of A998, and our zirconia fasteners are made of PSZ. There are also select data available for strength properties.

What are the dimensions of the sizes you offer?
You can find the dimensions of our ceramic fasteners in the dimensional specifications tables on this website.  We have provided the basic dimensions for hex head fasteners, along with their matching nuts and washers.  There are tables for standard and metric sizes, for what we carry in alumina, at this time.  We will be adding more information in the future.

Do you have a returns policy?
All sales are final (no returns allowed) but we can make exceptions and will determine a re-stocking fee and/or exchange transaction, as long as the returned fasteners are received not used and not damaged. 

Do you have larger sizes?
Not at this time, the larger sizes are still in development. Bolt sizes larger than 3/8" (or M8) in alumina and 1/4" (or M6) in zirconia are the maximum sizes currently offered.
