1. A technical drawing or blueprint is almost always required for a price and delivery quotation.
2. The quantity of parts for an order is critical information for determination of manufacturing method and delivery time.
3. All the ceramic materials posted on our Material Properties chart are available. If you need help choosing one for your application, please don't hesitate to consult with us.
Request a Quote for Price and Delivery Information
Ceramco is happy to provide price and delivery quotations. Please e-mail (or fax) your print(s) to the sales department and we will reply as soon as possible. While you are here you can review the parameters given below before you submit the RFQ to learn more about the quoting process. Thanks!
Tolerances for As-Fired Ceramic Product
For dimensions over .500 inch, the tolerances are ±1%.
For dimensions under .500 inch, the tolerances are ±1% or ±.002 inch, whichever is greater.
Camber/flatness of tubes/plates is 0.006 inch/inch, or better.
Out of round condition for cylindrical features is 1% maximum.
Surface finishes are generally 32 µin or better, but ultimately depends on the material.
Grinding
If the as-fired tolerance guidelines above are not sufficient for your application, grinding the fired product to more exacting tolerances will be done. We can help you review each dimension (for tolerances that need to be ground) and discuss cost reduction without compromising part performance, or we can simply "quote to-print".
General Size Parameters
The minimum wall thickness is approximately 0.020 inch (0.5mm) and depends on geometry and material.
The maximum wall thickness is approximately 0.250 inch (6.35mm) for fully dense materials but porous materials can be made thicker.
It is not possible to mold in features that make the mold core non-extractable, such as undercuts on an internal diameter.
Hole diameters generally cannot be less than 0.010 inch (0.25mm).
