Your OEM Ceramic Components

Engineering Your OEM Ceramic Components At the very core of Ceramco’s engineering expertise lies a thorough understanding of alumina and zirconia materials formulation and the performance characteristics of our custom powder blends. We apply this knowledge in a science called Powder Metallurgy producing the ceramic alloys, or unique ceramic material, necessary to satisfy the requirements of our customers' OEM ceramic parts' intended application.

As a turnkey manufacturer of OEM ceramic parts, our engineering knowledge encompasses the behavior of our formulations in production to achieve near-net shapes via Powder Injection Molding (PIM) or Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM). Ceramco engineers and fabricates the dies required for either process and (thus) reduces the cost per part by minimizing follow-up machining.

A Hand in Glove Relationship

Beyond our stock ceramic fasteners, the majority of the OEM ceramic parts we manufacture are customer designed and engineered. As such, we work hand in glove with them, applying our materials knowledge and manufacturing expertise to not only match results to expectations, but to also make the customer’s design manufacturing friendly, thus reducing costs. Both objectives are key ingredients of our quality assurance process.

It's All About Communication

Typically, Ceramco will first discuss with the customer their objectives in broad terms to determine if one of Ceramco’s numerous custom powder blends is appropriate, or if a non-standard material is indicated. We discuss the customer’s materials engineering-related concerns and the manufacturing challenges the customer’s part presents. We then address those concerns and challenges with answers based upon our experience. The typical properties of our materials are available to assist in the customer’s engineering decisions, even before this process begins.

Next, we review the customer’s drawing for both pre-production considerations and for tooling design requirements. Collaboration is welcomed and encouraged. The focus is to communicate with the customer in engineering terms, to determine the best approach and greatest value. If prototyping is required, the process is straightforward and uncomplicated.

People Making it Happen

Our customers engineer their own parts. The skilled and knowledgeable people at Ceramco engineer their manufacture. It is the fusion of the engineering knowledge from both sides of the table that builds a successful relationship. You have the need and we have the skills to make it a reality. Let’s talk.
